That’s An App?
If QVC and Black Mirror had a f***ked up baby, it would be That's An App?, an original series surrounding apps you didn’t know existed. Because they don’t. And that’s for the best.
The viral parody series was featured as part of Comedy Central's "Under The Influencer" program, a first-of-its-kind recurring collaboration platform that invited popular online creators like Brandon Rogers and Anthony Padilla to star in a series of original videos. The content model — lovingly dubbed “UTI weeks” by our team of comedy misfits — garnered millions of views and changed the game for Comedy Central’s social presence, expanding the network’s reach and gen-z relevance by tapping into massive, highly engaged fan bases.
MY ROLE:
As an in-house hybrid creative/producer for Comedy Central, I wore many hats, including producer, writer, director, and editor for several episodes of “That’s An App?”. I also worked on a variety of other series from game shows to mockumentaries.
NOTEWORTHY:
In 2020, “F***aoke: The App That Teaches You How to Talk Dirty (ft. Anthony Padilla” was the network’s #1 piece of branded original content across FB & IGTV with a cumulative 13M+ views. It also received the “Audience Honor” at the 13th Annual Shorty Awards.
