An itch I needed to scratch.

In 2022—a time when we were still dodging and weaving the COVID variant of the week—the opportunities to make “real” ads were few and far between. So, I partnered with dear friend and talented DP, John P. Campbell, to create and self-fund two not real ads. This is one of them.

My Role

In just over two weeks, I wrote, produced, and directed both spots.

I caught COVID for the first time during pre-production, but since we were working on favors and a shoestring budget, there was no wiggle room to reschedule—the show had to go on. Unless, of course, I was still testing positive. (I wasn’t.) To top it off, on the day of the shoot I woke up to the news that our only other camera crew member had a health emergency. I scrambled to find a replacement, and luckily, secured someone at the last second. The rest is his spec-tacular history. 🐇

P.S. Our lead went on to snag the recurring role of “Gram”, the new spokesperson for Best Buy. Casting, baby.
